Enjoy cycling in Shizuoka

Hello, Welcome to my blog!

Today, I want to write about the past cycling event  to
the Utsunoya Pass in Shizuoka city.

(This is continued from my last blog)

From here, Utsunoya(宇津ノ谷) Pass. We cycling the hill.

Green mountain & Blue sky. And uphill….(^^;

Look at the lady wearing a pink shirt.
The chief guide is helping her to climb this slope by pushing her back.

This is Taisho Tunnel.

Taking a rest for a while. Hey guys are you OK?

Oh, We climb up this slope?  Yes…!

We climbed!
This is the Meiji Tunnel. Old tunnel that is not used now.
Very mysterious place.
It is well known as the first toll tunnel in Japan.

Some of the members said we should not take photos here.
Scared….

So I said "Smile and ghost gone." Nice smile.

Inside of the tunnel. So cool!

Are you OK?
I would like to keep wine bottles here and hold a party.!(^^)!

Through the tunnel. There is rest place and a map around here.

The old village of Utsunoya(宇津ノ谷).
Now we moved to ancient village.

We can enjoy the view of ancient village here.
We walk not cycling here.

Next, Nishikawa farm (Note: open on  Sunday)

Do you know Jabuticaba? Brazilian grape.
We can enjoy this fruit picking here. Very rare place!

There were some Brazilian participants in this cycling event.
"Oh, Jabuticaba, after a long time!"

After taking a rest, we started cycling again.

This is Chojiya. An old established restaurant.

This is Chojiya drawn by a famous Ukiyo-e artist
Hiroshige Utagawa in 19th century.

Go along Mariko River cycling path.

We came back to Mochimune fishing port!

Enjoyable lunch time with all the participants at Sarry's Cafe.
There are shower room for cyclists or runners.

Cheers!!
