Today, I would like to introduce our last cycling event
held on February 26th 2017.

14 members including 3 ladies.
 Let's get started!

Lecture on how to change bicycle gears for better road safety.

Along the Abekawa River.
It is safe because no cars are running.

We crossed several bridges along the river.
South Abekawa Bridge, Shizuoka Big Bridge,
Suruga Big Bridge, JR line Bridge.

Arrived at Tokeiin Temple
Hatori, Aoi ward Shizuoka City.
Plum blossoms were about 70% blooming.

We enjoyed viewing plum trees and took a rest for a while.

Nice smiles~!

Next, we headed to Mariko area to have lunch.
Mariko was one of the old stations along the Tokaido Route
during the Edo Era.

This is a famous ukiyo-e (Japanese wood block print)/1830
Ancient travelers had lunch at Chojiya

This restaurant is still loved
by the local people and travelers.
It has stood there since 1596.

We were so hungry. We enjoyed delicious Tororo Jiru.

In order to enjoy the old atmosphere of the city,
we pushed our bicycles along and walked.

Along Mariko River.

We reached Shiroyama Plum garden.
These plum trees were planted by students of Shiroyama
junior high school near here.

Next, climbing Shiroyama.
A little bit hard for me after 30 kilometer's cycling.(^^;

We reached the top!
This is Mochimune Castle ruins.
Nice view of Shizuoka City and Suruga Bay.

We cycled for 32 kilometers.
Thank you for your partisipation!

If the weather condition is good, we can enjoy
beautiful sceneries of Mt.Fuji from there.

JR Line and Tomei Highway are meeting each other.
